Hospitalization

Hospitalization

What is it?

Hospitalization is an area of the clinic where we handle patients that require medical or clinical supervision.

Benefits

  • Personnel with human warmth.
  • Permanent spiritual support.
  • Extended visiting hours.
  • Spacious hospital rooms.
  • Integrated patient care.
  • Safety in all assistance and administrative processes.
  • Medicine mixing and preparation center, which reduces the possibility of errors when administering pharmaceuticals.

Human Resources

Specialized nurses and nurse aids with a lot of experience handling patients with complex diseases.  Their human quality and love for their service are other aspects to highlight.

Infrastructure

The hospitalization service has 127 rooms, 10 of which are apartments with private waiting rooms.  All rooms have a view of the beautiful Cali River and are equipped with a TV with remote control and international cable service, air conditioning, electric beds and comfortable furniture for companions.

We also have 59 comfortable, shared and spacious rooms, with external waiting rooms.  The care we provide for the sick and his/her family make us stand out and it is an integrated part of the patient’s recovery process.

The  Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Clinic is the only institution in Cali that has a Special Patient Care Unit (SPCU), where people with epidemiologically significant germs are hospitalized.  They are cared for there by professionals with specialized training.  This area is supported by all clinic services and by the epidemiological supervision committee.

Users

The Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Clinic is an entity committed to the physical and spiritual care of the sick, and for that reason, the hospitalization area has the permanent presence of the sisters from the San José de Gerona Religious Institute, who, with their human warmth and love for patients, become an important support for patients and their families.

Our institution also has a pastoral committee and a priest to provide support to patients who request the sacraments or spiritual counseling.

The Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Clinic and its hospitalized patients celebrate significant dates such as Mother's day (in May), Love and friendship day (celebrated in September in Colombia), the day of the ill (in February) and, on June 28, the date of María Gay Tibau, the founding mother of the San José de Gerona Religious Institute, went out for the first time to take care of the sick for the very first time.
